Gayi, Muyawa, Gunganbu
(Speak, Breathe, Belong)
Community Wellness Day | Aboriginal Languages Week 2026
When life gets busy, it's important to make space to slow down, reconnect and look after ourselves and one another.
Join Berimbah Aboriginal Corporation for Gayi, Muyawa, Gunganbu — Speak, Breathe, Belong, a free community Wellness Day celebrating the connection between language, culture, Country and wellbeing.
As part of Aboriginal Languages Week 2026, we're bringing community together to create space for connection, reflection and cultural learning. It's a chance to step away from the everyday, spend time with one another and explore how language and culture can help ground us, strengthen our identities and nurture our sense of belonging.
Language is more than words. It carries stories, knowledge, memories and connections that link us to Country, our ancestors and future generations. When we make space for our languages to be heard, shared and experienced, we help keep those connections alive.
This day is about celebrating that strength while recognising the importance of looking after our minds, bodies and spirits. It's about making time to breathe, being present, learning together and finding connection in ways that feel meaningful to us.
What can you look forward to?
